WHAT IS NICOLA LIKE AS A PT?

Since the birth of my second son in October 2015 I spent the following several months feeling bloated, tired and pretty miserable. Headaches and tummy problems were the norm and the dress sizes were creeping up. As a sufferer of PCOS I felt sluggish with an insatiable craving for carbs, in fact I could say I was pretty much a breadaholic!
After hurting my lower back carrying my toddler around and on a friends recommendation I contacted Nicola to arrange some personal training sessions. Now for someone who didn't own a pair of trainers and always dodged PE this was a big and anxious step forward.

On my first meeting with Nicola she instantly put me at ease, we talked through all of my concerns, what I wanted to change and my diet habits, then we started to get moving. The pace of the sessions have been perfect with a true focus on technique and building strength from the core. They are always varied and upbeat.

On the physical side I feel much more toned, I've lost inches and weight. People have even started to comment that I look well which is a great boost. My fitness has gone up as has my energy. The biggest change however has been mentally, I feel happier and healthier, a fog has lifted and I can think more clearly. Nicola's fitness sessions and the nutrition advice she provided has completely changed my approach to my lifestyle. Of course there are bumps in the road and with the nutrition there's been good days and some bad ones but the advice has always been 80/20. It's a slow journey but one that I intend to stay on and whilst people around me loose weight quickly then regain as quick by following fad diets I'm happy that I'm doing this in the right way. I honestly feel different, I even no longer crave bread! A Miracle!

The PCOS has responded well to the changes and for the first time without medication I had a 6 week menstrual cycle...A change for the standard 3/4 months.

All of this comes after a long history of attempting to diet and unused gym memberships. This time I no longer want to change to just look better I want to feel better, healthier, stronger. Nicola has really helped me start to achieve this. I can't recommend her highly enough.
